Description

Early version of a single sent to Prince's saxophonist Eric Leeds

Vinyl test pressing of the 12″ single for the song '13' (Paisley Park/WB 20893) from Madhouse's second album 16, manufactured by the Allied Record Company and sent directly to saxophonist Eric Leeds for his approval before being released. Side one of the disc is comprised of an extended remix of '13' and '13 and 1/4,' a song not included on the album. Side two has the album version of '13' and the album version of '4,' originally released on the first Madhouse album 8. Includes the original record sleeve, signed on one side in black felt tip by Eric Leeds, and annotated in another hand on the opposite side, "Hold for Eric Leeds." This is an exact representation of the commercial disc as released. In fine condition. From the collection of musician/saxophonist Eric Leeds and accompanied by a letter of provenance.
