Description

Collection of three letters, all one page, each signed by an actor or actress, including: a TLS by Leo Carrillo, December 27, 1937, to MGM executive Eddie Mannix, in part: "Fully realizing the terrific battle you have gone through mentally, please let me commend you on the fine courage you have displayed in the face of a heavy heart"; a TLS by Steve Cochran, no date, in part: "Thank you for being in my fan club, and most of all for being such a faithful member"; and a TLS by Betty Grable, August 9, 1967, to a radio station director, in part: "As for the amount of food I eat. It is a stage trick. The dumplings are really cotton candy. However all that sugar can be fattening, however that is the way it's done." In overall fine condition, with a light stain to the Cochran letter. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for Grable's letter.
