Gorgeous vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 portrait of Dietrich by Eugene Robert Richee, signed and inscribed in white ink, "To Dot with many thanks and good wishes, Marlene Dietrich.” Lower right blindstamped by the photography studio, and reverse of photo bears an ownership stamp. In fine condition, with creases and short edge tears to the top border, crease to the lower left corner tip, and a missing upper right corner (all of which could be easily matted out). The recipient of the photo was Dorothy Ponedel, Dietrich’s make-up artist at Paramount Pictures, who also worked with Carole Lombard, Clara Bow, Judy Garland, and Mae West.
