Director, actor, and screenwriter (1880-1962) best known as the director of Dracula in 1931 and the cult classic Freaks in 1932. Rare vintage fountain pen signature and inscription, "To Tiny, with all the best of luck in the world, Tod Browning,” on an off-white 4.5 x 3 slip. In very good condition, with irregularly trimmed and adhered to a larger album page with toning from adhesive to borders. Consignor notes that the recipient of the autograph is purported to have been Tiny Earles, a member of the famed Dolly Family performers. Although uncredited, Tiny was cast alongside her siblings Harry and Daisy in Browning's classic 1932 film Freaks. Browning remains terrifically scarce across all formats.
