Two strands of tiny mother-of-pearl sequins and two strands of pearls that were used in the embroidery decorating Princess Diana's wedding dress. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a page removed from the 2006 book A Dress for Diana by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, showing the strands of sequins they used. The dressmakers hoped to make Diana's dress to 'twinkle like something out of a fairy story,' and hand-embroidered thousands of these sequins and pearls into the lace of the dress. The veil alone, for example, used a staggering 10,000 of these 3mm mother-of-pearl sequins.
