Becoming the Scarecrow—"A total of about 3 hours for the make-up and the costume every morning"

ALS signed “Ray Bolger,” one page, lightly-lined, 7.25 x 9.75, September 2, 1984. Response on the reverse of a letter written to him asking several questions about The Wizard of Oz, in part: “The make-up on my face was made of a special type of foam rubber, it was glued on my face, the collar was attached to the mask it was burlap. A total of about 3 hours for the make-up and the costume every morning.” In fine condition. Accompanied by an unsigned photo of Bolger as the Scarecrow.
