Description

"I think he was thankful that no-one had stolen his cigarettes & top hat!"

Semi-glossy 11 x 11 lightweight photo of David Bowie, signed and inscribed in silver ink, "For Anita, a super lady, Bowie, '86.” In fine condition, with some scratches to the background touched up in felt tip. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: "It was at the wedding of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates. I lived with them as their life long nanny & friend and had met David on several occasions. That day we all played baseball in the garden, danced & had a lot of fun. I had left the photo on top of a pile of his things so that no one else would walk off with them. When he left he took the photo & signed it and thanked me for always being such a star. Mainly I think he was thankful that no-one had stolen his cigarettes & top hat!"
