Description

War-dated ALS signed “Will'm Henry Harrison,” one page, 7.5 x 9, December 22, 1813. Written during the War of 1812, a letter to John Armstrong, relaying a recommendation for Colonel Shaunsburgh, in part: "I have been intimately acquainted for many years having served with him for upwards of seven in the 1st U. States Reg't. I know him to be an Honest man & there is none better acquainted with military duty." In very good to fine condition, with two areas of thin paper to the right edge, one of which just impinges upon the end of the signature. Accompanied by an engraving bearing a preprinted signature.
