Scarce presidential appointment from Nixon

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 19 x 15, May 6, 1969. President Nixon appoints Daniel Bartlett, Jr., of Missouri as an "Attorney of the United States, in and for the Eastern District of Missouri." Signed at the conclusion by Nixon, and countersigned by Attorney General John N. Mitchell, who was a prime co-conspirator in the Watergate scandal. Gorgeous gold Department of Justice seal remains affixed to lower left. Framed and in fine condition.
