English character actor (1874-1965) who portrayed Clarence the Angel in It's a Wonderful Life. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 head-and-shoulders portrait of Travers, signed in black ink, "With best wishes, Henry Travers." In fine condition, with some silvering to darker areas of the image. Accompanied by the front panel of the original mailing envelope addressed in Travers's own hand, and incorporating his signature into the address field, "H. Travers."
