The medallion depicts an amateur athlete beside an enameled red, white, and blue patriotic shield, and reads, "Harvard Stadium, July 6-7, 1928, 'Finals,' Olympic Try-Outs, AAUUS." Reverse of the badge is marked, "Compliments of H. O. von Schuckmann, Boston."
