Renowned Dutch art dealer (1857-1891) widely remembered for the significant emotional and financial support of his older brother Vincent van Gogh. Letter to French art critic and poet Albert Aurier, the only journalist to publish an article about Vincent van Gogh during his lifetime. Theo and Albert were trying to arrange a meeting shortly after Vincent’s death so that they could organize an exhibition and text for an exhibition catalog.
