Scarce ALS as president signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 4.75 x 7.75, Executive Mansion letterhead, November 16, 1890. Letter to Hon. C. C. Hines, in part: "I have been in funds to pay the balance I owe you for a month but have neglected to write and ask you to state the amount due as I have no dates. Don't throw off the interest but give me credit for all payments. I hope you are well again & think Mrs. Hines is strong enough to give you wholesome government." Matted and framed with the original mailing envelope (addressed in Harrison's hand) to an overall size of 15 x 13. In very good to fine condition, with light irregular toning to edges.
