ALS as president, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7, Marion, Mass. letterhead, August 16, 1890. Letter to F. W. Bird, in part: "I am especially pleased to learn that there is a prospect of my seeing you before my vacation days at Marion are over. I expect to leave here about the 30th inst. I have no engagements now which will take me from here except…on Tuesday the 19th. But as we have company to entertain and as I am very much given to boating and fishing I am apt to be on the water much of the time…I don’t know just where you are located, but if it is not far away and near the water I might sail to you some day." In fine condition.
