Issued to the Standing Committee of the Electors, Hayes has signed and filled out a nomination form for the Board of Overseers of Harvard University, on which he lists the names of his nominations: "Theodore Lyman, James Russell Lowell, Henry P. Walcott, Francis C. Lowell, John J. Coolidge." Signed at the conclusion, "Rutherford B. Hayes, Freemont, O.," with Hayes striking through "Class of 1845 Law School" and adding "Degree 1877," the first year of his presidency. Matted, framed, and in very good to fine condition, with a bit of paper loss to the upper left corner and light toning to the perimeter.
