A bit of leather and a note from a Beatle sister: "They couldn't stand those cheap women!"

Older sister of George Harrison. ALS signed “Louise Harrison,” inside a 2.25 x 4 birthday card, two total pages, no date but postmarked February 12, 1965. Letter to Marina, in full: "'The Beatles' only went to the 'Charity Party' because they were expected to. They couldn't stand those cheap women! That is why George was so mad & threw the drink at photographer, as J. M. was trying to get pub. photo. They are not silly dear. Don't worry." Included is a 5.5 x 3.5 postcard of the Beatles, signed and inscribed on the reverse in ballpoint, "Louise Harrison, Love to Marina," with an affixed 1.25 x .5 swatch of leather removed from a George Harrison-owned coat, which Louise identifies below: "This is a bit of leather off his coat." In very good to fine condition, with old tape stains to the edges and below the leather swatch. Accompanied by newspaper clippings related to the letter, and the original mailing envelope, addressed in her own hand.
