Description

American musical theater composer (1928-2010) who earned the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama with Sheldon Harnick for their 1959 musical Fiorello! He also won the Tony Award for Best Composer and Lyricist for the 1964 musical Fiddler on the Roof. Scarce AMQS on an off-white 6 x 4 card, signed and inscribed in black ink, "For Brian Michaelson—To Life! Jerry Bock." Bock writes out eight bars of music to the song 'Sunrise, Sunset' in pencil, adding lyrics within: "Sun-rise, Sun-set, Sun-rise, Sun-set, Swift-ly, Fly the years." In fine condition.
