Scarce pre-WWI zeppelin badge, measuring approximately 1.5 x 1.75, with a metal body shaped like a Prussian eagle, emblazoned in the center with an image of a zeppelin against a capital letter "Z." The reverse bears a maker's mark, "Mayer & Wilhelm, Stuttgart." In fine condition, with a few minor imperfections. These badges were produced in a very limited quantity, and were either intended to be used by early zeppelin crew members or given to supporters of the Zeppelin Company's collection campaigns. A handsome, uncommon piece of zeppelin history.
