Description

American inventor and industrialist (1831-1897) best known for developing the first successful railroad sleeping car. DS, signed “Geo. M. Pullman,” one page, 8.25 x 5, no date but circa 1870s. Unissued certificate for capital stock in Pullman's Palace Car Company. Signed at the conclusion Pullman as president, and countersigned by Charles Angell as secretary. Double-matted and in fine condition, with vertical folds and punch holes affecting portions of the signatures.
