Sherrill, in full: "I have pleasure in introducing to you Dr. T. H. Pardo de Tavera, a warm friend of mine, and one of the prominent citizens of the Philippine Islands. I shall appreciate any courtesies which you may be able to extend to him or his son, Alfred, who accompanies him." In very good to fine condition, with trimmed edges and creasing to the left side. An appealing association piece given Taft's history as the former Governor-General of the Philippines.
