Italian sculptor (1757–1822) known for his neoclassical marble nudes. ALS in Italian, signed “A. Canova,” one page, 7.5 x 10, 1820. Letter to Mme. Bianchina, in part (translated): "I thank you for your short, kind letter and for the enclosure…I am touched by the very sweet words." Inlaid into larger sheet and in very good condition, with moderate overall foxing. Accompanied by an unsigned engraved portrait.
