Small 13-star American national parade flag, measuring 2.75 x 2, printed on coarse glazed cotton and affixed to its original 6? long staff. Made to celebrate the centennial of American independence in 1876, the flag has a medallion pattern canton that consists of a large center star surrounded by a wreath of eight stars, with a flanking star in each corner. This was a popular centennial design. Mounted and displayed in a 6.5 x 9.75 period frame, which exhibits several chips around the edges. In fine condition.
