Queen Victoria

Manuscript DS, signed “Victoria R. I.,” four pages on two adjoining sheets, 8 x 12.75, July 5, 1855. A special statute for the nomination of Colonel Sir Charles John James Hamilton, Baronet late of the Scots Fusileer guards to be "a Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath." Signed at the top of the first page by the Queen. Document retains its original red ribbon and white paper seal. In fine condition, with scattered light toning.
