Group lot of items related to tennis great Fred Perry, including: a first edition of Fred Perry: An Autobiography, hardcover with dust jacket, signed on the title page in blue felt tip, "Best wishes, Fred Perry"; an ALS signed "Fred," one page, dated February 26, 1989, addressed to Laurie Pignon, in part: "Thank you so much for a most delightful and flattering story in the U. S. Open program for Marilyn's tournament. You really pulled out all the stops!"; a program for the 1978 Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Champion's dinner, 5 x 8.25, signed on the front cover in blue ballpoint by Martina Navratilova and Bjorn Borg; and six items related to the funeral services of Perry at St. Paul's Cathedral, including: a seating card, a sympathy card, two funeral pamphlets, and service information sheets. Also included is a dinner program for Perry's 80th birthday celebration. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by an assortment of newspaper clippings related to Perry's life and career, as well as the original mailing envelope for the letter.
