Two items: a TLS, signed "L. Olivier," one page, 5.5 x 6.75, personal letterhead, April 1, 1969, addressed to Gary Lorenz, in part: "Contrary perhaps to expectation, I find that in retrospect my favorite parts are the Doctor in 'Uncle Vanya' and Archie Rice in 'The Entertainer.' As I have never been able to discover the reasons for this I am afraid I am unable to disclose them. Here is the photograph for which you ask, along with my very best wishes." Included is a glossy 8 x 9.75 photo of Olivier in a relaxed pose, signed in the lower border in black ink, "Laurence Olivier."
