Attractive manuscript DS, in Russian, signed “Aleksandr,” one page both sides, 8.5 x 14, August 30, 1867. An Imperial Decree to the Chapter of Russian Imperial and Royal Orders, in which Alexander appoints five military officers, in part (translated): "In accordance with the testimony of Command concerning the excellently spirited and zealous service of the staff and senior officers of the Mountain Guards named below, We Most Graciously have bestowed the title of cavalier of Our Imperial order of Saint Anna, third class…In consequence of this, We Command the Chapter to issue these cavaliers the medals and documents for the above."
