Description

Van Cliburn

American pianist (1934–2013) who skyrocketed to international stardom after winning the inaugural International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in 1958. Glossy 7.25 x 9 close-up photo of Cliburn in profile, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, "To Mr. Frank Flack, with my sincere best wishes, Van Cliburn.” Reverse bears a photography stamp. In very good to fine condition, with a crease above the inscription and two light vertical bends. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, postmarked November 9, 1975. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
