"Mr. Bernard Shaw does not regard unsportsmanlike requests by strangers to forge his own signature for their benefit as legitimate collecting'

Fountain pen signature, "G. Bernard Shaw,” on an off-white 2.75 x .25 slip. Double-matted and framed above a transmittal card from his secretary to an overall size of 8 x 9.5. The card reads, in part: "It may interest collectors of autographs to know that Mr. Bernard Shaw does not regard unsportsmanlike requests by strangers to forge his own signature for their benefit as legitimate collecting. He signs enough genuine documents every day to give collectors ample material for the proper exercise of their peculiar industry." In very good to fine condition, with irregularly trimmed edges and a tear affecting the first letter of the signature. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
