American author (1915–1989) known for his children's horse stories, best remembered for The Black Stallion. Collection of six items, including: a hardcover copy of The Black Stallion's Ghost, signed and inscribed on the half-title page in felt tip; a hardcover copy of The Little Black Pony Races, lengthily signed and inscribed opposite the title page in felt tip; three dust jackets for books by Farley, each signed and inscribed on the front in felt tip; and a TLS by Farley, one page, July 17, 1977. In overall very good to fine condition, with wear and creasing to the loose dust jackets, and moderate foxing to the letter. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, who describes meeting and befriending Farley in the late 1970s.
