Letter to Iris Stanley, in part: "You were quite right—the brown purse did get separated from the card, and I have been wondering who it was who had been so kind as to give it to me—and now I know. I am so very sorry that this happened, and am so pleased that you wrote and cleared it up. I am delighted with the purse, and it is extremely kind of you to send it to me."
