Daniel Webster

LS signed “Dan. Webster,” one page, 6.25 x 5.5, August 22, 1850. Written from the Department of State, a letter to Postmaster General Nathan K. Hall, in full: "It is thought advisable that the Heads of Departments should hold a conversation together, to–day; and it is proposed that they assemble at this Department at 2 o'clock, P. M." Double-matted and framed with an engraving to an overall size of 17 x 11. In very good to fine condition, with light overall toning, and a small tear touching the end of the signature. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
