Extremely rare program for a concert by the Jimi Hendrix Experience at London's Royal Albert Hall on February 18, 1969, 8.25 x 10, eight pages, signed inside on the first page in blue ballpoint by Jimi Hendrix (adding "Love to you"), Noel Redding, and Mitch Mitchell. Also signed by the members of Redding's band Fat Mattress, including: Neil Landon, Jim Leverton, Eric Dillon, and one other. In very good condition, with heavy intersecting folds and moderate overall creasing. Experience manager Mike Jeffrey scheduled a pair of February shows at London's Royal Albert Hall on the 18th and 24th, with the aim of producing enough quality material to release a live album by the early summer. The twin dates proved a good idea; the preceding European tour had caused further unrest between Hendrix and his band mates, and was marred by several lackluster performances. Jeffrey's ulterior motive of recording a television special also seemed in jeopardy, and so when the show on the 18th turned out to be a disaster, with Mitchell and Redding sleepwalking through the set, the show of the 24th proved the savior. Much to Jeffrey's delight, the band entire showed up for the second concert, with Hendrix throwing out the set list and playing several original blues numbers and a rare encore with Traffic’s Dave Mason and Chris Wood, and percussionist Rocki Dzidzornu. These were the final UK concerts consisting of the original Experience lineup. Pre-certified REAL.
