Printed act from New Hampshire, eleven pages, 12.25 x 7.5, March 12, 1768, printed and sold in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, by D. and R. Fowle, 1768. Entitled, “An Act In Amendment of the Acts for establishing Fees belonging to the several Officers in this Provence.” In part: “Whereas by an Act passed in the fourth year of King George the First, and by another Act passed in the fourth year of his late Majesty, King George the Second, the fees therein expressed, were established…Therefore, Be it Enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, That from and after passing of this Act, the establishment of the Fees belonging to the several Officers hereafter mentioned, in this province be as follows.” The act goes on to list the fees for various actions undertaken by governmental officials, including justices of the peace, clerks, sheriffs, coroners, judges, secretaries, jailers, grand jurors, attorneys, notary publics, and the governor. In very good to fine condition.
