Description

The Rat Pack and Carson highlight the Frank Sinatra Spectacular

Program from the Frank Sinatra Spectacular for Father Dismas Clark’s Half-Way House held at the Kiel Opera House in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 20, 1965, 5.5 x 12.25, signed inside in ballpoint by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, Count Basie, Johnny Carson (on Bishop's image), and by a member of The Four Step Brothers. Includes a flyer signed by Johnny Carson, with caption text stating that he “is here to fill in for his good friend, Joey Bishop.” In fine condition, with handling wear and cover creasing not affecting the signed spread. On June 20, 1965, Sinatra organized a ‘summit meeting’ in St. Louis as a fundraiser for one of his favorite charities, Dismas House, the first halfway house for ex-convicts. As a precursor to pay-per-view events, the special was originally televised to a select group of theaters. Fellow Rat Pack member Joey Bishop had hurt his back and was replaced as host by Carson. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
