American actor (1896-1963) who earned a footnote in Hollywood history for his role as Col. Tom Edwards in the beloved Ed Wood 'classic' Plan 9 from Outer Space. Two items: a vintage glossy 8 x 10 publicity still of Keene rearing up his horse Rusty, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "Good luck Frank, your friend, Tom Keene, 10-21-59"; and a ballpoint signature and inscription, "Good luck with your educational exhibition, Frank-your friend, Tom Keene, 10-21-59," on an off-white 5 x 3 card. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope hand-addressed by Keene, who signs his name in the return field. Keene remains quite scarce across all formats.
