Description

“If we yield to the demands of the would-be world conquerors no free nation, large or small, can hope to survive”

TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.25, Kyung Mu Dai letterhead, September 8, 1955. Letter to C. D. Batchelder of the Daly News, in part: “I have received your drawing of the cartoon which appeared in the August 12 Daily News and I want to thank you for your sympathetic interpretation of our situation. We will always be grateful to American Government officials, civilian and military, as well as the great people of America who are in sympathy with us and willing to help us. Unfortunately there are some people who have been influenced by Communist propaganda and are trying to coexist with the Communists which is a very dangerous idea and can only be corrected by enlightened leaders of public opinion like you. If we yield to the demands of the would-be world conquerors no free nation, large or small, can hope to survive.” In very good to fine condition, with scattered light toning and soiling. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
