Character actress (1876–1962) remembered for her role as Aunt Em in The Wizard of Oz. Vintage sepia 7 x 9 portrait of a young Blandick in profile, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To ‘the boys’ at Camp Lewis—With very best wishes of Clara Blandick, A.E.F.—France, 1918–’19.” Blindstamped by the photographer in the lower right, “Ira L. Hill’s Studio, New York City.” Cloth-matted and framed to an overall size of 15 x 17. In fine condition. Extremely rare in signed photos, this is only the third example of Blandick we have encountered in this format. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
