Uncommon vintage sepia matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait of Ralston, signed and inscribed in black ink, “To my real friend and able co-worker, Howard Greer, Always, Sincerely, Esther Ralston.” Signed in the lower right in fountain pen by the photographer, “G. Maillard Kesslere, 1/25.” In fine condition. Greer was a Hollywood fashion designer and a costume designer in the Golden Age of American cinema; he created both personal and film wardrobes for stars including Mary Pickford, Gloria Swanson, Ginger Rogers, and Katherine Hepburn.
