Early DS, one page both sides, 8.5 x 13.5, May 1, 1966. Popular songwriter’s contract between the Copperpenny Music Publishing Company and Grace Slick for the publishing rights of “the original musical composition written and composed by Grace Slick, at present entitled ‘White Rabbit.’” Signed at the conclusion in ballpoint by Slick. In fine condition. First performed by her band The Great Society, ‘White Rabbit’ became an iconic single of the late 1960s after it appeared on Jefferson Airplane’s 1967 album Surrealistic Pillow. This document predates Slick’s tenure with Jefferson Airplane, which she joined in October 1966 after leaving The Great Society. A superb, historically significant document for one of the most recognizable songs of the era. Pre-certified REAL.
