Letter to his close friend, the publisher and musicologist James Francis Cooke in part: "There's a little lady here, singing in our act, who is very anxious to know as much of singing as possible. I told her of your book 'What Great Singers Say' will you kindly send her a copy. Her name is Ruth Baldwin...she'll bless you in her prayers." In fine condition, with a bit of light foxing and several erasures of notes in another hand.
