P. Robeson, 155 W. 136th St., c/o Rev. B. C. Robeson, Please Return,” and heavily annotated throughout in Robeson’s hand, including numerous comments and linguistic comparisons. Also includes: a Playbill from the Sam S. Schubert Theatre’s 1943 presentation of Othello, 6.5 x 9, 36 pages, signed on the front cover in fountain pen by Robeson, Jose Ferrer, Uta Hagen, and James Monks; and a TLS by the ‘dean of Afro-American composers,’ William Grant Still, one page, March 30, 1940, concerning the publication of his ‘Scherzo.’ In overall fine condition.
