Letter to William Nicholson, in part: “Sir Walter Scott begs Mr. Nicholson will express to the gentlemen…their politeness in offering him an opportunity of attending the promenade at their Exhibition. He regrets that…he is unable to avail himself.” Mounted by its upper edge to a sheet of cardstock and in very good to fine condition, with toning along the edges from prior display. Accompanied by an apparently unrelated mailing envelope address to Walter Scott. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
