Scallop-topped ship’s pass issued to “the Ship Virginia of New York, Charles Reeve master or commander…navigated with Twelve men, To Pass with her Company, Passengers, Goods and Merchandize without any hinderance, seisure or molestation.” Signed at the conclusion by President Madison and countersigned by Secretary of State Adams.
