George Clinton

American soldier and statesman (1739–1812) who served as governor of New York and vice president in the Jefferson and Madison administrations. Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Geo: Clinton,” one page, 17 x 12.25, June 4, 1788. As governor of New York, Clinton grants John Taylor “All that certain Tract of Land to be distinguished by the Ninth Lot in the Township of Louisville situate in the County of Montgomery on the South East side of the River St. Lawrence…Containing five hundred acres.” In very good to fine condition, with somewhat irregular overall toning. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
