Also, my forthcoming book would be disconcerting to Bellows, since it is called ‘Comin’ Through the Rye, A Short History of the Bourbons.’ Moreover, I told the late Harold Ross that no likeness of me would ever appear in the New Yorker’s ads, holding a beer or whisky glass, reclining alone or with a gal in the back of a Pontiac, or trying on a hostess gown at Best and Company’s.” In fine condition, with lightly trimmed edges.
