Untranslated LS in Early Modern English, signed “James R,” one page, 7.5 x 11.5, 1588. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, very subtle dampstaining to lower portion, and a mounting strip to the left edge. At this time James was just 22 years old and known as James VI, King of Scotland; his power expanded in 1603 when he also began ruling the kingdoms of England and Ireland as James I.
