Collection of more than 250 original photos taken by Burnside Attwood while traveling through British Columbia during the Yukon Gold Rush of the late 1890s, affixed within a period 8 x 10 album. A variety of subjects are depicted, including the beautiful natural landscape, native peoples, railroads, camps, trails, animals, and gold mining equipment. Sizes of the photos range from 1.75 x 1.5 to 4.5 x 4; over 160 are the larger size and over 90 are the smaller size. Some of the locations identified are the Fraser River, Stuart Lake, and Fort St. James. Also includes an engraved portrait of Attwood. In overall very good to fine condition.
