American illustrator and author (1877-1970) best known for his Peter Rabbit comic strip which he wrote and drew for 28 years. Two items: a wonderful signed pen and ink sketch of Peter Rabbit dressed in a tuxedo on an off-white 4 x 6 card; and an ALS on a 6 x 4 card, February 8, 1954, in part: "I now send you a little drawing of Peter Rabbit which will answer your purposes." In overall fine condition.
