Description

Disney biographies “are always trying to find a dark side to dad”

ALS signed “Diane Miller,” two pages, 7.25 x 10.75, personal letterhead, December 11, 1991. Letter to Mr. Fiott, in part: “A friend came across the October-November issue of Storyboard in which you ‘celebrate the life’ of my father, Walt Disney, and brought it to me. I love it. I’ve called your office and ordered ten copies of it so I can share it with my mother, my sister, my aunt…(dad’s sister) and my children…Too many ‘biographies’ are written by people trying to re-invent their subject. People…are always trying to find a dark side to dad, or to discredit him, I’m so sick of it. How refreshing to encounter your attitude. ‘Remembering Walt’ was so much fun to read. I do think that Ward Kimball should rest assured that dad meant him no harm when he called him a genius. Dad really enjoyed and respected Ward.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the aforementioned Storyboard magazine. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
