Without your support and the support of millions of our countrymen our space effort could not succeed. I am always interested in knowing the views of my fellow Americans relative to our program for the conquest of space.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Mitchell’s own hand. Nearly five years after writing this letter, Mitchell became the sixth person to walk on the lunar surface.
